Black Future Newsstand to Open in Houston; Media Toolkit Available for Social Promotion

With the Black Future Newsstand on the horizon, MMM drops complete media toolkit to help promote the event with Media2070 and PECAN.

By: Isabel Papp, 2025 Fall Intern

The Black Future Newsstand is scheduled to arrive in Houston, TX on Oct 30th through Nov 1st, and Mañón Media Management has gathered useful materials to streamline the online promotion of the event.

The Black Future Newsstand represents a shift in how media can be used in reparative efforts and to analyze present questions about race, reproductive health, and climate justice. The event is two-fold: typically a revamped newsstand spotlighting Black-owned outlets and a creative installation that uses vendors, creatives, and art to uplift and heal community from systematic inequality. Its mission is focused– and so harnessing this energy is crucial to promoting the event.

To this end, the team at Mañón Media Management has put in the work to provide a comprehensive media tool kit, which includes announcements, posters, and pictures of past BFN events. A content calendar is also enclosed with specific content ideas spaced out over the course of three weeks.

The tool kit is linked here and can be used to promote the event on socials and to pitch BFN to contacts in news. Besides that, there is content on both MMM and PECAN’s social media accounts that is easy to repost and share for further promotion.

This media kit is part of monthly PR and branding work with Media2070 and PECAN. Interested in our services for your team? Book a meeting below:
