Donation Campaign FAQ
Does MMM keep any of the donation money?
No. Mañón Media Management (MMM) does not retain donations as profit or income.
Our mission in hosting donation campaigns is to use our platform to amplify community needs and help visionaries and leaders create real impact.
The only amounts ever deducted are direct operating and processing costs, such as:
-
Website platform fees (e.g., Wix)
-
Payment processor fees (credit/debit processing)
-
Required state or county documentation fees (if applicable)
These costs are disclosed transparently in campaign reporting.
How long do donation campaigns run?
Campaigns typically run between 4–24 weeks.
Each campaign timeline is determined individually based on:
-
The needs of the person, family, or group being supported
-
Urgency of the situation
-
Community response and fundraising goals
How can people donate?
All donations must be made through the official campaign page on our website.
We do not accept donations through CashApp, Venmo, or personal transfers for campaign funds. This ensures:
-
Proper tracking
-
Financial transparency
-
Accurate reporting
-
Secure processing
What happens after the campaign ends?
Each campaign is handled individually, but typically includes:
-
A public update announcing campaign results
-
A summary of funds raised and distributed
-
A thank-you acknowledgment to donors (unless anonymity is requested)
-
In many cases, a small awareness event, celebration, or community recognition moment
We believe accountability and visibility are part of honoring the cause.
How can we see how much has been donated?
Transparency is a core value.
We provide:
-
A running total of funds raised
-
A breakdown of any processing/operational fees (typically 1–2% depending on platform and payment processor)
-
A final campaign report at the end of the fundraising period
This report can also be shared publicly.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Tax deductibility depends on the structure of the specific campaign and recipient. MMM itself is not a nonprofit organization. Donors should consult a tax professional regarding deductibility.
