What’s a better start to the month than a few days in LA? For us, it was the final stop of the Black Future Newsstand: Riot to Repair, a stunning and soul-filled exhibit imagining a world where media loves Black people. The Los Angeles installation brought together artists, journalists, and community members to envision a future where storytelling doesn’t exploit trauma—but instead uplifts and lovingly centers Black narratives.

We secured multiple press hits (see some of them here), including coverage in LAist, NewsOne, Our Weekly, and more. It was a powerful close to a multi-city tour that started in Harlem and touched Chicago before reaching its West Coast crescendo.

No time to rest, though—within days, we pivoted into supporting the Philadelphia Safer Journalism Project as they launched a groundbreaking Code of Ethics for public safety coverage. Our CEO, Tianna Manon, moderated a live discussion on Instagram with the project team, helping make the complex (and sometimes controversial) topic accessible to the general public. This initiative is already changing how some newsrooms approach crime reporting—centering care, accuracy, and community over sensationalism.
Meanwhile, the Media 2070 team made history again, winning a Telly Award for their Reparative Journalism video series. It’s yet another reminder that when visionary brands commit to doing things differently—and do it well—the industry pays attention.
Back on the business side, we soft-launched our newest tool for changemakers: the Clarity That Converts guidebook. It’s a tactical workbook that helps you refine your brand messaging and increase your conversion rate using nothing but language and intentional storytelling. (You can check it out here—because it’s time your words started working harder for you.)
And yes, it’s still May.
We also supported commemorative efforts around the five-year anniversary of Daniel Prude’s death, honoring the organizing, movement work, and public policy shifts that followed. And to top it all off, Mañón Media Management was featured in the Rochester Business Journal for our leadership in socially conscious PR.
It’s been a whirlwind—but a powerful one. At MMM, we believe growth isn’t always neat. Sometimes it’s messy, fast-paced, and full of pivots. But if you’re clear about your vision and strategic about your communication, you won’t just keep up—you’ll lead.
If you’re ready to refine your messaging, attract aligned media, and stop fumbling your brand’s next level, reach out to our team today. Because vision deserves visibility—and we know how to get you there.
