The Lilypad East Gallery in Watch Hill is currently showcasing the vibrant and impactful works of Samson Tonton, an artist renowned for his large and colorful pieces that blend cubism with cultural narratives. This exhibit, part of the gallery’s "Summer Soiree Series of Art and Song," runs through Friday.

More about Samson:

Samson Tonton stands out in the contemporary art scene with his distinctive cubism style that not only captures the eye but also conveys profound cultural messages. Tonton, who has been featured in an Ebony profile, represents a new wave of Black and Haitian artists breaking barriers and reshaping the art landscape. His works are more than just visual experiences; they are emotional journeys. "My artwork is for everyone that wants to see and hear; the crying of the soul, the sound of an instrument, the balance of vibrant colors," Tonton shared in an email interview.
