How long is the process for creating a press release? 

 

Our turnaround is typically just 1-2 days however this process can be affected by how long it takes you to submit information, if we need any additional information and how quickly we are able to get edits approved. 

 

We publish every press release on our website so that in addition to news coverage, you may also get some social media traction! This also helps journalists better conceive the story from our pitches. 

 

For how long do you pitch my story?

 

Unless otherwise stated, we pitch for four weeks starting from the first Friday after the final draft of the press release is approved. We do so based on beat, location, etc and your story can be pitched to as many as 15,000 journalists, writers and reporters!

 

What happens if I get an interview? 

 

We promptly contact you with the details of the newsroom, the topic and what to expect. We then find a date/time that works for you, confirm with the reporter and then you meet them directly. Please note: we do not offer on-site interview coordination or speaking notes at this level. We offer follow-up services for every interview, including link tracking and revisions for any errors. 

 

Q: Does this include a meeting with you?

 

No, this package does not include a meeting. We used to offer a 30-minute meeting with each one but clients frequently reported that it was difficult to align calendars, particularly for those not working on their brand full-time or with events/launches

with too soon of a date. This allows you to submit on your own time, see a draft, approve it and get in the news as much as ONE MONTH faster than our previous system! While we prefer the personal touch of a meeting, and are open to follow-up interviews after the pitch is done, we find this system works better for all parties: the client, journalists and MMM.

This service is specifically for press coverage. If you’re looking for help managing your social media, we offer this in our premium services for monthly clients.

 

Q: What should I do with my links?

 

When you are published, you should share it immediately with your network. While news can help you build your audience, what it does best is establish credibility with your current clients and following. 

 

Before you even post the story, think about ways you can grab behind-the-scenes photos and other content to lend a personal touch to your news post. Also thank the reporter and tag them because they are likely to share your story.
