Our firm utilizes the news to spread the word about our client, many of whom are creating new systems and overhauling the industries they work in. From new ways of collecting data to fighting for reparations in media, we believe in big picture ideas and using the fourth estate to grow each movement.
We're looking for someone who can work with complex brands and ideas and make them exciting for the press. You'll work directly with clients, producing high-quality press materials and assisting them with leveraging placements and earned media coverage.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in teams but is also able to work well independently. The ideal candidate will have proven success in this industry and is looking for a role that allows them to deepen their work and utilize their contacts and skills to make real change.
At least 3-5 years working in media and at least two years in news or public relations specifically
Ability to create high-quality and timely media materials, including but not limited to: press releases, media advisories, op-eds and original articles.
Proven record of previous earned media placements – samples required
Professional appearance and demeanor
Available for completely remote work
Willing to travel to meet with clients and facilitate client events
Knowledgable of current news, including trends
Open to professional development (including conferences, workshops and trainings)
Must be a great communicator (written and verbal)
Some public speaking necessary on behalf of clients and agency contracted events
Bring positive energy and creative ideas to the team
Be a go-getter that works well independently and can self-start and self-assign work
